Bluebird Lane Fjelljo
Super Movement in a Dressage Fjord Prospect
Gorgeous top-bred gelding rising three years old. Ready to start your way!
Very exciting movement with an uphill tendency, he really knows how to use his hocks. This young fellow has the movement in all three gaits that we look for in a sport horse, coupled with a wonderfully soft and compliant want-to-please temperament.
Fjelljo (pronounced Fee-Yell-Yo) is well-handled and mannerly, stands stock-still on the cross-ties, is good for the farrier and vet, is used to clippers, and is very accepting of everything that comes his way. Standing 14.1 hh already, he is going to be a very good size. Lovely head with good Fjord type and a great topline with good withers for a riding horse.
Fjelljo is bred for performance, sired by the imported approved breeding stallion Mogly (Ster, Prestatie) and out of the North American Grand Champion Fjord mare, and Dressage Champion, Bluebird Lane Kestrel. Kestrel is a Felix daughter out of an imported Dutch mare, Roza, who was sired by the Norwegian-bred Dutch Studbook stallion Fjelljon. We named Fjelljo after a bird name in Norwegian, and for this Elite maternal grand-sire.
Trots with reach, suspension, and push from behind. His canter has balance and air-time, and as he cantered around the indoor arena he was throwing in effortless clean flying lead changes. Great walk with distinct four beat rhythm, looseness, and over-track. Mogly and Kestrel are both favorite riding horses of mine, and Fjelljo promises to have their suppleness and rideability.
Highly recommended for a dressage rider looking for a Fjord with movement and temperament. This Mogly son definitely possesses his father’s charm and charisma!Click here to contact Lori for more information on Fjelljo.
