from Bluebird Lane Fjords
Here she is - a mature proven mare with training and mileage!
Raldiene is a 1996 mare, well-trained for
both school riding
and trails. Her very comfortable rocking-horse canter
endears her as a lesson or lunge-lesson horse,
plus she has plenty of trail experience and is a proven broodmare.
Raldiene was imported from Holland and evaluated A-premie. Her sire is Halstor,
making her a half-sister to Prisco, and her dam's sire is Brusvein.
Very strong dam line,
with ster mares going back four generations. A mare doesn't just pass on her
own characteristics, but those of her ancestors, and this depth of strength in
the dam line indicates a very good breeding mare.
Raldiene has had two
foals while at Bluebird Lane, and they are exceptionally nice representatives of the breed.
A mare equally well-suited to a family or breeding home.
Congratulations to Raldiene's new owner in Massachusetts!
True Dressage Prospect!
Myrrikse (MEER-rik-sa) is a beautiful FELIX daughter, 2 and a half years old.
She is a lovely mover with a particularly exciting trot, combining power,
rhythm and suspension. Big free walk with a lot of freedom in the shoulders.
Gorgeous head, lovely balanced conformation and
beautiful topline. Will be tall, stands over 14hh already.
This beautiful filly is a quality prospect
for a dressage, performance, and breeding home.
Congratulations to Myrrikse's new owner in Alberta!
Rare Opportunity: Four year old Prisco daughter
Greta is something of a "limited edition" being a daughter of Prisco who is now gelded.
This beautiful young mare exemplifies many of Prisco's best qualities.
Greta's dam is Penfrydd's Molly,
a Solar daughter out of a Brusvein daughter and
grand-daughter of our great mare Cindy. Wonderful breeding on top and bottom
of this pedigree.
Greta was started this spring at age four and has been in work since.
She has a super work ethic, very steady, nice in the hand and a lovely mover.
Greta does not get tense or worried.
With her attitude and the good basics she
has, she will be ready to show at Training Level in the summer.
A very uncomplicated and fun horse to ride.
Congratulations to Greta's new owner in New York!
The Total Package: Movement, Temperament, Training, and Great Looks!
Valebu is a five year old grey dun gelding standing 14.1 hh.
He has an uphill build and a great attitude.
Valebu has three excellent gaits with an especially good canter.
Both Valebu's trot and his canter are springy and elastic and
feel just great to ride! His walk is super, it is
forward with large overtrack and natural rhythm with no tension.
If you want to ride dressage on a Fjord, this is definitely your boy!

This combination of FELIX and MYRSTEIN bloodlines will
be of interest to those who wish to breed Fjordhorses
with both athletic ability and good character!
Peregrine is brave, steady and very easy to handle.
Absolutely wonderful to ride.
Impeccable ground manners. Working well in basic dressage:
walk, trot, canter, and leg-yield. Excellent riding
out in the fields and trails.
Very nice in the hand. Not spooky.
Peregrine is so easy and has such a solid temperament she would be suitable
for just about anybody, including a child or timid adult.
A mare with the movement for performance, solid
character for trail riding, wonderful bloodlines for breeding,
all topped off with a best-friend temperament.
Congratulations to Peregrine's new owner in Wisconsin!
Dressage-Trained Beauty with Presence Galore! -
Sparrow is a 1998 mare, sired by Gjest
and out of our own beautiful
Dutch-imported 1st premium mare Cindy.
Sparrow is as beautiful as her mother,
with a gorgeous head and good conformation.
Sparrow is trained in dressage riding and besides
having good basic work she also performs the more
advanced lateral work such as shoulder-in, travers, renvers,
and trot half-passes.
At the 2004 Finger Lakes Fjord Show,
where she was ridden by an 18 year old girl,
Sparrow won both the
Junior Rider Championship and Dressage Reserve Championship
(behind her full brother Vili).
At the 2004 Ontario Fjord Show, Sparrow was Champion Mare under
judge Mr. Bob van Bon, Chief Inspector of Fjords of the Netherlands.
Sparrow was also awarded the
Netherlands Fjord Studbook Gold Medal for Best Mare.
Congratulations to Sparrow's new owner in Wisconsin!
Really Wonderful Movement -
Jaeger (pronounced Yaeger) is handsome, athletic, well-bred, and
just SO easy to get along with!
Two year old gelding with an outstanding trot, this fellow really gets
up off the ground and moves. Jaeger will be tall and elegant, should finish
around 14.3 hh. He is an attractive golden shade of brown dun.
With his combination of size, temperament and athletic ability, Jaeger will
suit a wide range of owners.
If you are interested in a Fjord dressage prospect, I can highly
recommend this outstanding young gelding.
Congratulations to Jaeger's new owner in Minnesota!
Sweet and Charming -
Three year old brown dun gelding.
Waldo is a good mover with nice freedom in his shoulder and push from behind.
He has a well-shaped neck of good length coming up nicely out of his shoulders.
Waldo has been well-handled, he responds to light aids, and he is never inclined to be pushy.
Both of Waldo's parents are Dutch imports and successful competitive driving horses
in Combined Driving (like 3-day eventing in a carriage) at the highest level.
Congratulations to Waldo's new owner, Tish in Michigan!
Super Nice Colt!! -
Attractive brown dun yearling stud colt with adorable face, strong chest and big round hindquarters.
This colt is very well-mannered, eager to please, and easy-going.
Griffon has been well-handled, leads well, moves away from pressure, gives his feet,
and is pleasant, mannerly, and people-oriented.
A lovely colt with stallion potential.
Congratulations to Griffon's new owner in Idaho! Griffon will be raised as a
stallion. Look for Griffon in 2006 as a three year old!
