The Fjordhorses of Bluebird Lane Fjords

At Bluebird Lane we breed and develop Fjordhorses for Sport and Pleasure. Our goal is an athletic Fjord who is well-suited to a variety of disciplines. As active participants in the sport and art of dressage, athletic ability and movement matter a great deal to us. At the same time, as breeders, breed type and character remains our first guiding principle.

We are pleased to introduce you to the members of our Fjord herd! Our herd of Fjord horses usually numbers between six and twelve individuals. Besides Prisco and our core group of mares, we generally have a few young horses we are bringing along, and one or two sales prospects in the works. The details of each member of our herd can be accessed by clicking the horse names on the tabs below.

Bocina is a tall mare with a lot of substance and three good gaits. Under saddle she has proven to be a forward and self-motivated worker with a particularly good and balanced canter. Bocina was raised here at Bluebird Lane since she was a yearling. Bocina is in dressage training with Lori, and shows a lot of promise for the future.

In a breed of horses known for being "sweet and gentle", Bocina takes it to the next level, with the aura of a Zen Buddhist monk. This athletic mare possesses the best traits of the breed in a very appealing package.
