The Fjordhorses of Bluebird Lane Fjords

At Bluebird Lane we breed and develop Fjordhorses for Sport and Pleasure. Our goal is an athletic Fjord who is well-suited to a variety of disciplines. As active participants in the sport and art of dressage, athletic ability and movement matter a great deal to us. At the same time, as breeders, breed type and character remains our first guiding principle.

We are pleased to introduce you to the members of our Fjord herd! Our herd of Fjord horses usually numbers between six and twelve individuals. Besides Prisco and our core group of mares, we generally have a few young horses we are bringing along, and one or two sales prospects in the works. New Arrivals

Rjelgrimm is a Dutch-imported certified A-premie daughter of MYRSTEIN and the ster and prestatie mare CARLA (a daughter of the German stallion OSWALD). The prestatie designation indicates the highest level of achievement in performance testing.

Rjelgrimm has huge powerful movements and built-in rhythm. A superb riding mare, she passes this quality to her offspring. A mare of substance with a beautiful head and great Fjord type, Rjelgrimm produces offspring who look like a Fjord should look and move with athleticism and fluidity.

A well-known Dutch studbook stallion, Rjelgrimm's sire Myrstein has a high score for conformation and is a wonderful mover. He is an athletic stallion who is known for producing movement in his offspring. Myrstein is a ster stallion, a keur stallion, and a preferente stallion. He also holds the rank of Elite Stallion, which only a handful of Holland's approved stallions have.

We are very lucky to have this outstanding example of the breed in our broodmare band. Rjelgrimm is our primary breeding mare at this time, and is in foal to the stallion Saethersblakken for 2007.
